About

Hi there! My name is Stephanie Green Scott. Many call me Steph. My wish is that you will too after reading this.

Would you like to know something fun about me? I am a juggler! No, really, I just wear a lot of hats. Like so many women.

Yes, I am a Screenwriter was stories are the key to my soul and the path to connectivity. But I am also a life-long volunteer, true professional, dedicated wife, and devoted mother to countless children and two miniature and one toy Goldendoodle. Like The Little Old Lady That Lived In The Shoe. More about that below.

While I am filled with gratitude for all the opportunities and titles I have been blessed with, the role that pervades all my jobs and relationships is the one I value the most. Which is being a daughter of our Living God whose Glory is His.

Backstory

When I was a girl, stories of strong women including those in my own family helped grow me up even as life stole my youth when my mother’s battle with manic depression ended in suicide. The empathy that hard times engendered began early with volunteering. From Girl Scouts to Galas…helping others has always been a primarily motivating factor.

In College at Florida State, I learned the significance of community through Alpha Gamma Delta International Fraternity. The significance of having mentees AND mentors seared into my DNA.

I also adored stories of princes on white chargers and dreamed of a husband I could respect, depend on, and admire. Do you know where I found him? At the local gym! When Tommy asked me if he could “work in” at the squat rack, I almost melted to a puddle at his smooth southern accent and broad linebacker shoulders. Over two decades later, he still thrills me.

The fairytale continued when I met a dark-haired imp with a toothy Colgate smile that captured my heart. I fell in love with Nicki, my now stepdaughter, half a second before I fell in love with her dad. When I jot pregnant with our son, Wyn, my story was tying up in a neat little bow.

However, the nightmare raised its ugly head when we lost Wyn at twenty-five days old. When I remember the darkness I sunk into with this next tragedy, I am in awe of the Grace of my God that brought me through to the other side where joy is my essence.

During this time, I left my high-profile job to put being a football coach’s wife at the forefront. The glorious, uncertain, and cutthroat world of football has been my world since and is fodder for the stories I write with the lessons imbedded in them. Compelling stories that entertain and inspire!

Football fulfilled my maternal instinct when players became “sons” that benefitted from my love and support. It is not just money that I raise for such worthwhile causes as I mentor young college women and other football coaches’ wives too.

The epilogue is that I am now living the life as a screenwriting, mentoring, world traveler and volunteering football coach’s wife as an empty nester aka grandmother in waiting. That is a mouthful to say that I am a “good and faithful servant” of our amazing Lord that keeps connecting my dots. Thanks be to Jesus!
